Overview
Georgia is a country in the Caucasus located at the eastern end of the Black Sea on the southern sides of the main peak of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. It is bordered to the north and northeast by Russia, to the east and southeast by Azerbaijan, to the south by Armenia and Turkey, and to the west by the Black Sea. Georgia includes three ethnic enclaves: Abkhazia, in the northwest (the main city is Sukhumi); Adjara, in the southwest (the main city is Batumi); and South Ossetia in the north (the main city is Tskhinvali). The capital of Georgia is Tbilisi (Tbilisi).
